Three power systems
The next-generation Air65 II is designed for 1S performance while maintaining a good balance of power and durability. It uses a dedicated power system with three modes - Champion, Racing and Freestyle - to suit different flying styles. The robust Matrix 5IN1 II flight controller with 12A ESC, reinforced frame and cowling help withstand impacts and ensure reliable performance. It is an ultra-lightweight whoop drone designed for smooth and dynamic flight.
Champion
The Champion version is a premium model designed for professional level racing. Weighing in at just 16.6g, it features the exclusive 2.20g Air65 Champion frame and Matrix 5IN1 II flight controller. It uses Champion 0702 motors (36000KV) with double ball bearings, lightweight GF 1207 three-blade propellers to achieve an impressive 6.3:1 thrust-to-weight ratio for maximum acceleration and an advantage on the track.

Racing and Freestyle
The Racing version uses Racing 0702 motors (30000KV) with GF 1207 three-blade propellers. This combination ensures higher RPM and extremely fast throttle response, allowing you to easily overcome difficult race tracks. The Freestyle version has Freestyle 0702 motors (25000KV) and GF 1219S three-blade propellers. This configuration is optimized for smooth control and stronger thrust at low RPM, allowing you to perform smooth, cinematic flights.

Flight controller
The Matrix 1S 5IN1 II flight controller uses a 3-point mounting system that creates a cushioning space during impact and reduces stress on key components, reducing the likelihood of damage even up to 80%. The thickened 1.0mm PCB board and optimized layout further enhance drop resistance.

Air Whoop models tested
• Air65 (Air 5IN1 FC): with 4 rubber bushings;
• Air65 (Air 5IN1 FC): front rubber bushing removed;
• Air65 II (Matrix 1S 5IN1 II): front rubber bushing removed;
• Air75 II (Matrix 1S 5IN1 II): Front rubber bushing removed.
Methodology
Each drone was accelerated in a straight line for about 5 meters and deliberately aimed for a horizontal impact against a wall. After each impact, the video transmission, OSD, and receiver signal were checked. The test was terminated after 20 impacts or when a malfunction was observed.
| Tested configuration | Number of units tested | Damage FC after 20 hits | Failure rate | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Air65 Racing (4 rubber bushings) | 5 | 5 | 100% | All flight controls failed. |
| Air65 Racing (3 rubber bushings) | 5 | 1 | 20% | One OSD failed at 16th stroke, the others worked. |
| Air65 II Racing (3 rubber bushings) | 4 | 0 | 0% | No faults were recorded, no deformations were observed. |
| Air75 II Racing (3 rubber bushings) | 4 | 2 | 50% | Mixed results, two FCs remained operational. |

Engineering solution
The test results were clear – by removing the front rubber bushing, the impact load on the flight controller was significantly reduced, and the risk of FC damage in the Air65 model was reduced by approximately 80 %, with almost no impact on flight characteristics. The Air65 II model further improves this solution by fully integrating a 3-point mounting system. Together with the new Matrix 1S 5IN1 II’s thicker 1.0 mm PCB and internal reinforcements, this creates a much more durable whoop drone.
A finely tuned flight experience
Every component – from the combination of motors and propellers to the flight controller parameters – is carefully tuned for each specific version. This creates three distinct flight characters: smooth and efficient Freestyle, ultra-precise and fast Racing, and maximum power Champion, ensuring optimal control for every pilot and flying environment.
