Features:
• BETAFPV Nano RF TX module is based on the ExpressLRS project, an open source RC connector for RC. The goal of the ExpressLRS project is to achieve the best possible communication performance in terms of speed, latency, and range. As a result, ExpressLRS is one of the fastest RC connectors while providing a long operating range.
Specification:
• Manufacturer: BETAFPV;
• Model: ELRS Nano Receiver;
• Size: 12 x 19mm;
• Frequency versions: (Nano receiver 2.4G version): 2.4GHz ISM;
• Input voltage: 5V;
• Antenna connector: IPEX MHF.
Diagram
The schematic of the 2.4G version of the Nano receiver is as shown below.
The manufacturer recommends updating TX modules and receivers to the first major version V1.0.0. And following them in the future.
ExpressLRS is based on Semtech Lora SX127x or SX1280 hardware for RX and TX respectively. It aims to achieve the best possible communication performance in terms of speed, latency and range. At 900 MHz, a maximum rate of 200 Hz is supported. At 2.4 GHz, a staggering 500 Hz is currently supported using a custom OpenTX design. This makes ExpressLRS one of the fastest RC links while still providing long-range performance.
Configuration and linking
The connection between the ELRS Nano receiver and the FC board is shown below.
Enable the appropriate UART (e.g. UART3 below) as Serial Rx in the Ports tab of the Betaflight Configurator.
The Nano receiver can enter pairing state after powering on/off three times.
• Turn the nano receiver on and off three times;
• Make sure the LED blinks twice quickly – this means the receiver is in pairing mode;
• If the receiver light is on continuously, it is paired.
